Sterling Silver

All our silver jewellery is 100% solid Sterling Silver.

Sterling Silver is a premium precious metal alloy, with a beautiful light, bright tone incomparable to any other metal.

It is strong and durable and will last a lifetime when cared for properly.

Silver can tarnish when exposed to chemicals and environmental irritants, however it can almost always be cleaned up to it’s original shine very easily.

It is 100% recyclable and can be melted down and made into something new an infinite number of times.

Silver is incredibly versatile and goes with any colour clothing.

It can feel more relaxed, capturing a laid back beach or outdoor style, but also lends itself to a more refined and elegant look when styled with more formal wear.

Brass

We cast our pendants in solid brass.

Brass is a warm, earthy metal with a rich golden hue resembling solid gold, but with a much lower price tag.

Solid brass is strong and durable, and will never permanently change colour as can happen with some cheaper gold plated metals.

Brass will develop a more antique patina over time, however if you want to keep it looking like solid gold, all you have to do is polish it.

Brass is 100% recyclable and a great sustainable option.

We put our brass pendants onto 14 karat gold fill chains. Gold fill is the highest quality there is before going into solid gold. These chains will last and maintain their beautiful golden colour just like the brass.

14 karat gold fill

We use 14 karat gold fill for all our gold chains to go with brass pendants, and for our Full Moon and Summer Rain discs. We also use it for all earring hooks, studs, hoops, the bands for our brass rings and all findings such as beads, jump rings and clasps.

14 karat gold fill is a thick coating of solid 14 karat gold bonded to a brass core. It is the highest possible quality option before solid gold. It is stronger than gold plating, and will maintain its luxurious gold colour forever when cared for correctly.

It does not irritate ears like some cheaper metals can which is why we use it for all our earring parts.

Gold fill is harder to recycle as it is a coating of gold over a brass core, so we recommend treating this with the utmost care to avoid unnecessary waste, however you can send any broken gold fill jewellery back and we can send it to a US based recycler in larger quantities.
