The spring equinox occurs when the Sun crosses the celestial equator, bringing the Southern Hemisphere into astronomical spring.
The word equinox comes from Latin and refers to the time of year when day and night are approximately equal in length. After the September equinox, the days continue to become longer than the nights as we move towards summer.
For us, it feels like nature's way of saying: it's time to get outside.
