Bloom

On a beautiful September spring afternoon, we gathered to take some photos of my latest creations for ‘Bloom’

With our lovely model Emmely and magic fairy photographer Alix Mckenzie, we decided to shoot around where my studio is in the Byron Industrial Estate and at the amazing new Greek Restaurant Kouzina across the road (which you must try if you haven’t already-it’s the most amazing homely and genuine Greek food!)

I collected some beautiful flowers from local organic flower growers Our Little Flower Farm which you’ll see we used in quite a few of the shots.

Bloom’s main feature is my favourite carving to date- the daisy. It’s one of the more intricate carvings I’ve done and I haven’t taken the one I made myself off since I adorned my neck with it.

I’ve also created a little heart… a little a-symmetrical and imperfect, because all love is imperfectly perfect.

So please enjoy these photos from our afternoon frolicking around the gardens of our studio and out the front of Kouzina, and feel free to leave a comment and let us know what you think.

And check out the full collection if you wish here.

A huge thank you to Emmely for being such a graceful, happy and stunning model, and Alix for capturing all the special moments so perfectly.

With love and gratitude, Justine xo
